Paul Bonacci as a child.  He was abused beginning at the age of six.

A letter written by one of Paul Bonacci's personalities, who experienced Satanic cult activity and only writes backwards.  If held up to a mirror, it can be read in the reflection.

i don't know to much about past events i can recall in 1980 the first i can recall it was at the place called the mystic triangle on december 22nd it was a festival of the time to pervert the blood of christ also the shortest day of the year a human boy child was slaughtered his blood drained the blood mixed with urine and to be drunk by the members i was a never member so i ___ the genitals \ those present would kill me for breaking the vow of secrecy but for paul it must be told ____ they are to your names * dr. kegg * joe burnsich jakob? david baily + steve gates * jack? larry king it was a mixed group of shadows * knights of darkness both under the temple of set

After his retirement from the Army, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Aquino, an ex-Green Beret, was later written up in the San Francisco Chronicle as the head of the Temple of Set, a satanic, devil-worshipping church. The November 1987 headlines read as follows: "Army Says Constitution Lets Satanist Hold Top-Secret Job," by reporters John Whittinger and Bill Wallace. The story went on to say that "the high priest of a San Francisco based satanic church is able to keep his top-secret security clearance because his activities are constitutionally protected, Army officials said yesterday. "Lieutenant Colonel Michael A. Aquino, a highly decorated Vietnam veteran, is the founder and president of Temple of Set, a satanic church headquartered in Aquino's Russian Hill home ...

"Aquino, a psychological warfare officer who has worked in military intelligence, holds a top secret security clearance that allows him to handle information whose release would gravely damage U.S. security, according to Defense Department regulations.

"He maintains the clearance even though he has performed Nazi occult rites and has described himself as the 'Anti-Christ' in literature published by the Temple of Set ..."

Temple of Set literature described a coming apocalypse in which only followers of Satan would be saved. Readers were encouraged to read such works as "Mein Kampf," "Hitler: The Occult Messiah," and "The Occult Roots of Nazism."

Aquino conducted occult rituals patterned on ceremonies performed by Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler in a German castle once used by the Nazi SS for black magic ceremonies during the Third Reich. Nazis considered the black arts and satanic worship part of an ancient Germanic tradition.

Aquino, in his book, "Crystal Tablet of Set," wrote that he performed the rituals to recreate an order of Knighthood for followers of Satan. He even encouraged his followers to study the beliefs of the Nazi terrorist group, the Vehm, the Thule Gesselschaft, and the Ahnenerbe, two fanatic rightwing Aryan groups that existed before and during Hitler's reign.

When the two reporters from the Chronicle inquired about Aquino's security clearances, Major Rixon declared that "to the best of his knowledge, there was no part of the liturgy of his church that caused any (security) problem." Aquino admitted to being involved in devil worship for 22 years.

Dr. Julianne Densen-Gerber, New York-area psychiatrist, lawyer, child abuse expert and member of the International Society of Multiple Personality and Dissociative States.  She interviewed Paul Bonacci at the request of the Senate Franklin committee, and testified that "it would be very difficult for Mr. Bonacci to lie."  She has cited evidence known to her, corroborating several of Paul's specific recollections.

Dr. Beverly Mead, psychiatric consultant to the Omaha Police Department, examined Bonacci for the OPD and was the first to diagnose his Multiple Personality Disorder.  Mead has said many times, that Paul is telling the truth.

The Omaha World-Herald front page of July 25, 1990, two days after the Douglas County grand jury indicted the Franklin victim witnesses, trumpets its "hoax" conclusion.  The front-page pictures highlighted Senator Schmit, Alisha Owen, and multi-millionaire socialite Alan Baer.  Named by Franklin victim-witnesses as an abuser, Baer was indicted by the Douglas County grand jury for "pandering" unrelated to Franklin.  He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, paid a $500 fine, and went free.

After the Douglas County grand jury redefined "Owen as the perpetrator and Wadman as the victim," the World-Herald labored to repair former Omaha Police Chief Robert Wadman's reputation  This feature appeared November 18, 1990.

The World-Herald used cartoons to amplify the grand jury's charges that the Franklin accusations were a "hoax" based on "rumor."  Its editorials heaped abuse on the Legislature's Franklin committee for pursuing the investigation.

The exclusive Ak-Sar-Ben club, comprised of the leading figures in the Omaha business community, flaunts its bizarre rituals in its own publicity material.  A 1967 book on Ak-Sar-Ben by Arvid E. Nelson, Jr., commissioned by the Ak-Sar-Ben Board of Governors, displayed this picture of a 1923 Ak-Sar-Ben festivity, showing male Ak-Sar-Ben members dressed as Egyptian dancing girls.

In this December 9, 1990 World Herald article, the Ak-Sar-Ben Board of Governors chairman, ConAgra CEO Mike Harper, defended the organization.

In recent days, Mayor P.J. Morgan has made numerous comments regarding the possible sale of Ak-Sar-Ben.  There is one specific statement made by the mayor that was intermingloed with other emotion-and headline-grabbing comments that I would like to address.

Morgan said, "Frankly, I am sick and tired of a small handful of people who think they can control this city and county without regard to feelings, sentiments, and desires of the honest, hard-working people who are the real foundation of this community."

I am puzzled by this comment because from all I have heard and read, I think it is safe to assume that the mayor is talking about the Ak-Sar-Ben board and councillors.  The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben don't control this city.  They give to this city and state, and have done so for 95 years.

The members of the board and council don't need a pat on the back, but most assuredly they don't deserve a slap in the face.

Let me take you for a moment on a journey through Omaha and the state.  This journey probably won't grab headlines, but I believe it is one that the ___ citizens of this city ...

... City Roundup Parade.  The River City Roundup festival is a tremendous city and statewide event typing all of Nebrasks together.  The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben began it and continue to be major supporters.

On our journey, the River city Roundup Parade goes right by the Orpheum Theater, a theater that was all but dead until the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben stepped forward to help in its renovation.

We continue southward now on our journmey to the Henry Doorly Zoo, one of America's most outstanding zoos.  It, too, was almost dead when the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben contributed a half-million dollars to get it back on its feet.

The journey continues south, and we see such places as Fontenelle Forest, Bellevue College and Offutt Air Force Base ... all three have been beneficiaries of Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben support.

This spread in the November 1991 Metro Monthly, based on Ak-Sar-Ben publicity photos of its 95th coronation ball, showed Union Pacific Railroad chairman Michael Walsh and CEO Walter Scott of Peter Kiewit and Sons, the construction company, in attendance.  The Union Pacific Foundation and the Kiewit Foundation were depositors in and contributors to the Franklin Credit Union.  Wearing the crown and long train is former Nebraska Game and Parks Commissioner Eugene Mahoney, King of Ak-Sar-Ben for 1991.  One of the most powerful politicians in the state, Mahoney was investigated by Gary Caradori.

The World-Herald often puffed its (now retired) publisher Harold Andersen, especially as the Franklin case heated up, as in these 1989 articles.  President of the World Press Freedom Committee and adviser to the U.S. Department of State, Harold Andersen was also chairman of the Advisory Board of the Franklin Credit Union and headed Franklin's biggest fundraising drive.
